About
What it is
A digital transformation of admissions at Kazakh-British Technical University. The goal: take a funnel that lived in email, spreadsheets, and in-person paperwork and turn it into a single, measured pipeline that an AI agent can usefully sit in front of.
What I did
- Digital strategy and data governance. Wrote the university's first end-to-end digitalization strategy and the data-governance standards that sit under it — what data we own, who can change it, how it's centralised for processing and storage.
- Admissions pipeline. Led the digitalization of the admissions process itself. Document processing time dropped by more than 30%, manual input for staff fell by over 70%, and data-entry error rates came down to about 1%.
- AI agents. Deployed AI-powered agents for both applicants and admissions staff. Call-center text-based interactions dropped by about 50%; applicant data validation is largely automated now.
- Team. Built the product team from zero — intake funnels, standardised processes, internal guidelines. Took it to the point where the group could deliver international-quality work end-to-end.
- Brand and design system. In parallel, led the redesign of the university's visual communication system. The goal there was the same as with admissions: less ad-hoc, more product.
